FAQ

Short answers to the questions people actually type into search boxes before taking a trait questionnaire.

Is the Big Five the same as MBTI?

No. Myers–Briggs-style tools emphasize four-letter types built from dichotomies. The Big Five keeps five separate scores on continuous scales. Some researchers statistically relate the two systems, but they are not interchangeable labels.

Can my scores change?

A bit, yes. Longitudinal studies find slow shifts across adulthood for some traits, especially when jobs, relationships, or health change. Day-to-day noise also matters: sleep-deprived you might rate Neuroticism higher than vacation you.

Is a high or low score better?

Neither end is a grade. High Conscientiousness helps with deadlines; it can also make unwinding harder. Low Agreeableness can show up as healthy assertiveness or as friction — context and values decide which. Use scores as descriptions, not excuses.

Why is one trait called Neuroticism?

Because journals still print that word. Many apps relabel the pole “Emotional Stability” so the slider does not sound like an insult. We explain both framings on the Neuroticism guide.

Do you sell my answers?

No. The Privacy Policy spells out what minimal server logging might exist on the host side and how optional local history would work in your browser. If we add analytics or ads later, we will update that page before flipping anything on.

Can you interpret my personal results?

We cannot. This project is educational writing plus a future automated scorer — not therapy, coaching, or HR consulting. If you need individualized guidance, seek a qualified professional.
